Biogas Purification System of Membrane Separation Method

In order to turn the biogas into a substitute for natural gas, the carbon dioxide (CO2) and other pollutants must be removed. Mingshuo has membrane-based technical solutions that allow biogas producers to efficiently turn biogas into RNG/biomethane.

The technology used to separate the two main components of biogas - methane and carbon dioxide - is based on the use of polymer membranes manufactured by Mingshuo Advanced Separations (MaS). Depending on the biogas composition, a combination of highly selective and permeable membranes will be configured into an overall upgrading system tailored to the project.


Membrane technology is becoming more and more important for CO2 separation from biogas in the new era due to its process simplicity, relative ease of operation and control, compact, and easy to scale up compared with conventional processes. Conventional process such as adsorption for CO2 from biogas is generally more energy demanding and costly for both operation and maintenance. Polymeric membranes are the current commercial membranes used for CO2 separation from biogas.

Biogas membrane purification equipment is a kind of biogas engineering equipment which removes carbon dioxide from methane (or landfill gas) by advanced hollow fiber. The utility model is suitable for purification of methane and landfill gas. The purified biogas can be used as the substitution of natural gas. The methane concentration can reach above 95%.
