Product Description

The MT-2 Series modified Iron Oxide Desulfurizer is independently developed by our company according to the market demand, with "γ-type iron oxyhydroxide" as the main component, special iron-based compounds and their special additives, and refined by a unique process. This series of products has high cost-effective, fast desulfurization rate, good water resistance and no dependence on oxygen.
Desulfurization mechanism:
Dissociation of hydrogen sulfide into HS-, S2- ions on the surface of the water film on the surface of the desulfurizing agent;
H₂S = HS^- + H⁺           (1)
HS^- = S^2- + H⁺            (2)
HS- and S2- ions are substituted with lattice ions (O2-) of iron oxide to produce Fe2S3-H2O;
Fe₂O₃·H₂O+3HS^- +3 H+=Fe₂S₃·H₂O+3H₂O (3)
Fe₂O₃·H₂O+3S^2- +6 H+=Fe₂S₃·H₂O+3H₂O  (4)
