The increased surface area of high surface area calcium makes it more reactive and suitable for various applications:
Environment protection:
Remove of heavy metal icon and phosphates in wastewater. By absorbing and sediment, it can improve the wastewater treatment result;
High surface area calcium hydroxide is used in flue gas desulfurization system to remove sulfur dioxide(SO2-SO3) from exhaust gases produced by thermal power plants and garbage powder plants. It can react with SO2/SO3 to form calcium sulfate, a stable compound that can be safely disposed or recycled for many applications.
Construction and building materials:
High surface area calcium hydroxide is used to produce high-performing cement, and light brick, etc. The high surface area can increase the chemical reaction rate between cement particles, improve cement strength and reduce curing time.
Agricultural Field:
High surface area calcium hydroxide is used to neutralize acidic material in soil, adjust soil pH value and improve soil structure;
Together with phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, to produce compound fertilizer in order to improve the utility ratio and effect.
Paper making area:
Paper filling agent: as paper filling agent, high surface area calcium hydroxide can increase the smoothness, whiteness and opacity of the paper;
Smears: as smears in paper making, it can improve appearance and performance of the paper.
Oil industry:
Catalyst carrier: as catalyst carrier in oil industry, high surface area calcium hydroxide can increase the activity and stability of the catalyst;
Sorbent: with high surface area and strong alkaline, high surface area calcium hydroxide can absorb toxic substances in oil chemicals.
